Compact design of bearing units makes high speed and rigidity possible. Preload on the bearing can be changed in two to three steps according to the spindle rotational speed. It is possible to select a heavy-loading mode in the slow speed range, and the most suitable shaft rigidity and machining conditions in the high speed range with light preload. The grooved shaft design solved the rise of preload due to the compact design of the spindle and the expansion of the bearing inner ring at high speed. |
